Anyone know where to find a taller seat for an 02 650fe. I am 6'2'' so I feel a little cramped. I just installed taller bars, now I am looking for the tallest seat possible. I was also debating about putting on some fastway pegs in the lower position, but I am worried about foot clearance. Any help would be appreciated.

now lets try a little work here good fella!

put 'seat' or 'taller seat' in the search and you'll find we have many, many posts and threads on the subject.

and in case you haven't got a copy have a look at this here

Taller seat available right form Husaberg.

A cheap way to lower your pegs is to remove the sholder form the bottom of the peg, you can probably remove 3 - 4 mm, then add washers above the peg to keep the pegs spaced properly in the brkt.

Taffy, I tried a search and so many posts came back, after looking through about ten and finding know mention of where to find a taller seat I tried a new search. I entered Tall seat, next taller seat and checked the 2nd box down that says include all terms, I beleive. This yielded 5 posts, none with reference as to "where" to find a taller seat. Maybe I missed it but I don't beleive there is a way to seach the subject titles only, as I have done several searches for other topics as well, but the threads that usually come up only contain scant references. Did I mention that I am a young and as such, is the case with my generation, I blame my attention deficit/ laziness on to much tv  :D , jk. I guess when I search I should look at the posts that have my search items in the subject.Thanx for the link I think I will find that really helpful! :D

Good idea Fryguy, I but I am thinking that the Fastway's will offer more performance (traction, comfort) as they are a quite a bit bigger and I wear sixe 12's. With the stock pegs I find that I am using less than 2/3 the with of my boots.

Irapilot do you know how much taller the guts foam is? I found there website yesterday, but no mention of how much taller the seat is.

Does anyone know of a website that has a husaberg parts shcematic, like ktmtalk's?
Thanx for the replies, ajt.

Parts list downloads (free) are in our "Resources" section under 'downloads'

If you have the leg length, go for the thicker seat foam, your butt will thank you!

Don't worry about Taffy, he's getting old and cranky! He means well though.

Oi! Taffy!Time for your meds!

Dave clarke the uk importer has 03 tall seats complete for about fifty pounds.

ajt.....the taller foam is about an inch taller, and the standard density is a little more firm than the stock Berg. That is not to say it it hard like a KTM.....just the opposite.....very plush. I raised my bars one inch and the seating position is really nice. I used to go on 8 hour rides through the mountains and after only a few hours, my butt was raw. Now, after eight hours, my rear is fine, but the rest of my body is wasted!

Another idea for pegs. Std FE pegs are shorter/ narrower than FC or SX pegs. I think the 05 might come std with the wider motocross pegs.

Just thinking aloud.

Anyone tried Black Bird racing's tall seat foam. I found a dealer who has their tall foam for cheap. Has anyone measured how much taller the guts foam is, I am told that BB is two centimeters taller (that doesn't sound like much 3/4 inch or so).

fryguy, BTW I was just looking @ my pegs and I think I will probably try taking some material off the shoulder. Good  . Do you grind them flush or leave a little of the shoulder.

Well, after talking it over with a friend I have decided that I am going to the local fabric store and purchase some foam. I will use 3M adhesive to glue it to the current foam. If anybody else has tried this method and could add some tips it be appreciated. I plan on adding enough so that the seat is flat all the way from the front to the back.

:D :D Here is an update relating to another post I have made about the battery not charging on my 650fe. I went for a ten mile ride today, and started the bike about ten times or so. It turned over surprisingly strong at first, then continued to to start easily the rest of the time. Hopefully I have seen the last of my battery issues.
