My post taffy e-start is now only 75% but as the kick is still spot on I dont care.

Just out of interest though, could this be because post service & top end re-build things are moving a bit or is it because I've got an original starter motor (re-start not elec start).

funnily enough james, had loonybergs bike back in this week. fair enough, he had my first dutch clog decomp fitted in which the spring became coil bound. so instead of unwinding twice round i foolishly ground the hump off. so the decomp gradually went out the cam and sat against the bearing. i thought it might do this so sensed no real danger but the trouble was that the decomp lobe was now OUTSIDE the CFB of the rockjer arm.

so i had it back in and fitted a new one. the bike wouldn't start first time so i took his CBR600i off and fitted the yammy and it transfornmed the engine. started first time.

the other thing that makes a difference to turn over is a super dupa charged battery and although i haven't compared them - word has it that the CTZ7s is a better battery than the YTZ7s from VARTA/YUASA?

No worries, kidding. The starter works just fine, spins it faster than ever but still no start on the button. I figure maybe I need the dutch clog decomp or some other magic.
