Taffy may be a bit awkward, but has been a great help for the community.

Oh just a little bit, maybe not to much, gave some forum users parts for free, gave a little advise as per the idea of having a forum (not as a marketing ploy) and really what difference should it make what I have contributed, it is about everyone getting along and getting advise, sharing thoughts and so forth. Not to be attacked when giving advise or told to go away when you are a new user. By no means does Taffy make the rules, tell people what to do or for that matter be allowed to **** on old/new users just because he does not like or get his way. It does not matter what he has contributed, this is a public forum not his business website.
I am sorry you feel that Taffy is an asset, allot don't feel the same. The more new users that he scares away from this site the faster Husaberg is forgotten about.
Sometimes we need to be kind to those new people who can and do have something to contribute. I could ask you the same, what has been your contribution to this site? But to me it doesn't matter as long as you respect me and I you

What we need here is an "ignore" option, like they have on some other sites.
I hung out with Taffy in Moab years ago and he seemed to have quite a few fans there, and has been on the site helping Berg riders for like-ever. He did seem to be a socially quirky chap based on my brief time with him, but we were drinking and he is Brittish, so . . .
I've gotten great service from Rick Bozarth and Dan and Ann at Motoxotica, so I've never seen the need to order anything from across the pond. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Taffy if I didn't have such great sources closer by.
I've also seen FE350 give lots of good advise and go way out of his way to help other members. It's good to see such an active newer member, especially for the newer models.
The fact that Husaberg is out of business means this site is going to see membership and activity slow. Clashes happen on public forums, and some find them entertaining. In reality we all have the option to ignore posts or members we don't like-just don't click on them. It would be a bad thing if new members are scared off by bad behavior, but a-holes like me kind of enjoy the bickering.
I also belong to the ATK website and have seen it slow to a crawl, but is still sputters along because the few members left have enough interest and passion for the brand to post.

Sorry you were not around for the first one last year, It was much bigger with tons involved and a major topic for a while. It will tone down shortly as per the norm, but don't be surprised if you see another user into it with Taffy, It seems to be a regular thing. The last time was a user "Taffy's Mistake" about his dealings.

I don't usually comment around here but come here everyday. Feedback about a specific shop either good or bad is one thing, personal insults are another completely different thing.
I'm ok with the first one, it's actually good I'd say.
Personal insults should stay away from public threads.
I don't have anything against neither one of you, as most people around here I suppose, so I don't really care if you don't like each other. It only makes me scroll faster after a few posts. Your contributions to the community and mechanical related threads are always welcome.

Since most argue sessions will be lost in a thread and don't actually add anything relevant to the original topic, I'd say "no" (stop it).
But by all means, if you feel like you need to expose some issues create a thread for it.

As a teacher you should be concerned that your students get on and read this forum. I teach .... Shame on your behaviour, I just hope you aren't teaching youths.

The yes are equal to the no votes so it is 50/50 right now in the poll. I will continue on Taffy until he realizes that it is not ok to keep degrading users. It is ok to give advise, but not ok to make fun of someone asking.
I wanted to see how much this is bothering users and so far it is only bothering Taffy's friends.

If TAFFY doesn't quit with the personal attacks, people are going to get pissed off - rightfully so! - and the forum will go sideways for a few days.
I don't think it's the right thing to do or a good thing to happen - the sanctity of the topical discussion should always be preserved - (sorry FE350, I'm 100% on your side otherwise - these days I follow the forum more than I wrench or ride, but it means that I could clearly see that Taffy was the aggressor in all your quarrels).
But. This is always going to happen. In the end, it's just not going to happen that the offended users are going to take a chill pill and be quiet and nice and on-topic if Taffy isn't held to the same standard. Dignity doesn't allow for it.
And Taffy doesn't look to be likely to stop the bullying because he's asked to - to me it looks like he will have to be forced to show some manners.
Usually he comes huffing and puffing with some weird and obvious tackle if someone new either has knowledge enough to threaten him or his appearance as some kind of authority (e.g. FE350), or if users don't blindly follow his advice which is usually presented as some kind of absolute certainty (e.g. basalt).
To me, I will now freely say that Taffy's behavior smacks of sociopathy and/or narcissisim. Both the forum behavior and the confirmed stories of plain fraud.
And remember, this is a kind of interesting social experiment we are running here: There is no forum police. There is only us.

Kiss and make up, go seperate ways! I wanna be happy When i read here. What ppl wrenched, clips and pics. Use Facebook, Phones or eye to eye conversations. I havnt been wanting to login cause of this dispute. alot of ppl like tourist taffy and a whole lot other members are really good at bergs. And recently i cant read and learn. Cause a playground battle is going on. Cmon. Start over and agree to disagree.
