Last Sunday we took care of the first round in the Swedish SuMo championship.
It was a great success for Husaberg with a double win in the open class. The winning man of the day being Jocke Engström. He totally destroyed the opposition. Norwegian Stĺle Björdal took one second and one fourth. A guy I really had my hopes on, Emil Sörehall, unfortunately blew his head gasket and filled the engine with water in time practice and didn't make it to the finals. I offered him my '05 FS but he didn't feel confident enough with a stock bike to ride it.
My garage buddy Stefan took a 6th and an 8th and is really on the move. GO STEFAN !
My results weren't that impressive with a 20th and a 19th but at least I took 3 points. My sorry excuse is that I broke a ligament in my right knee last fall and I have practiced some 3 hours since last season. In the second final I got the cramp of the century in my right forearm and just couldn't use the front brake. So I cruised around and hoped that enough people would DNF for me to get some points. And they did. Didn't feel all that great but hey, those are the rules...
In the 450 class Henning Brokerud took two 4th places in hard battle with super fast Ola Eifrem (Suzuki) and Christian Nilsson (Yamaha) . Dennis Eriksson took one 8th and one 7th.
Not unfamiliar Martin Lind made his debut on the Highland and had a hard battle in the first race with last years champion Jörgen Huvell (Honda), Henning and jack-in-a-box Henke Karlsson (Yamaha). Martin drew the short straw and came out 6th after being past also by multi MX-champ Jocke Karlsson (Kawasaki).

Feels like I have a couple of hours of writing ahead of me if I were to tell you everything so I'll stop now
Me trying to keep the front wheel down
In the second race the gravel was really wet and tha asphalt got really slippery
No wonder the front wheel lifts with 73.2hp on the rear. Awesome bike. This is Stefan btw...
The man of the day, Jocke Engström. Will try to get some close ups of his bike. You'll guys will love all the special R&D that is put into this bike...
