Swapping transmissions

Hi all,

I own a 2009 KTM 450 SXF, but it only comes with a 4 speed, i noticed a 2006 550FE 6-speed up for grabs and am curious to know if this will fit in my bike.

Im not sure about the frame dimensions but im fairly sure the drive sprockets run on different sides. I guess you could make anything work if you really want to but im thinking it would be easier to upgrade to the KTM exc set up. They have the 6 speed gearbox and would probably bolt in???

There is no way that the 6 speed Berg trans would swap into the '09 KTM 450 SXF. It would probably be more practical to install the whole Berg engine into the KTM. If the KTM 450 SXF was an earlier model with the RFS engine then the RFS EXC or MXC 6 speed gears could easily be added.
