Anyone recommend a suspension firm in the UK to convert my FE forks & rear shock to tarmac settings pls ?
It's way too soft for me - I weigh 18 stone.
Cheers.

What about fork ride height then ?
Measuring from the centre of the front spindle/axle to the dust seal on my 2002 FE550 it's 353 mm (I think) with the front wheel off the floor.
What length should I use for tarmac hillclimbs pls ?
I'm a slow rider.

How about some brand new take off 2011 FS570 forks - never saw 5 minutes of riding time. Took them off because I already have supermoto forks I love and though someone might like them as they are BRAND NEW.

$1000 + shipping for the set, if interested send a PM.

Cheers

I do a lot of work on suspension but I haven't been setting them up for road to dirt or the opposite. I suggest that you buy the FS shock and forks. try DCR he's always breaking bikes. Ebay sometimes has a few but you need to be sure that they also aren't starting off with FE gear.

as for the right springs for your weight..... jeez?

maybe we can all hazard a guess here - I'm not first in line for that info!

would have thought though that a 110 straight rate rear and 52 fronts but I think you need shorter front forks and thus springs and the rear will have the same length of spring but no threads left outside the preload ring.
