in my manual for FE550 / 2004 3 types of WP rear shock and 3 types of front forks are described.
xxA01, xxA02, xx A03

but how can I tell which types are on my bike.

is there any identification on the suspension somewhere?

help is apreciated!

the numbers below are from the parts manual. Also checked the '04 owners manual and they list them under the 'Y' numbers.

yours should be the middle forks; Y729

1 1445.Y728 GABEL MXMA4860 FC 04 FRONT FORK MXMA4860 FC 04

1 1445.Y729 GABEL MXMA4860 FE 04 FRONT FORK MXMA4860 FE 04

1 1445.Y730 GABEL MXMA4860 FS 04 FRONT FORK MXMA4860 FS 04

same for the shock, its the middle of the 3, Y722
