So, i have a -99 501fe.
the local symotic dealer said he could make me a supermoto rim set with the hubs rims and stuff, i would get the option to choose the colour of the rim, and every other part of the rim, heck i cud ask to get every nipple in a different colour if i felt like it he said.
well the price was too damnd hig, approx 1/3 of the bikes value.

i also tryed warp9, tho they said they can only make -03 and newer due to the similarity to KTM models.

well im asking you people, anyone know a place or way to get supermoto rims (or just the hubs to front&rear) to a -1999 fe501 .

so whats the catch?
i want it to be reasonably priced...

I'm in the process of putting 17" rims on my 1994. With a 20mm rear axle, the new (Behr) KTM 5" rim fits right in, but after putting a 160 tire on it, there's not a lot of room left. also, I need to shave about 5mm of the outside of the caliper bracket.

The front is slightly harder. The bike has a 15mm axle, which I will sleeve with a steel tube (20mm od, 15mm id), adding a speedo eliminator and all the space between the forks is gone. so the speedo eliminator will push against the right fork (The shoulder on the axle is now gone) I figure with the pinch bolts on the forks, and adding fork sliders, this would be an OK arrangement.

I got a brand new rear of ebay (KTM: 58410070100, for $200), the front is KTM: 58409001344, price mistake, for $387

It all depends on your definition of reasonably...

I'm pretty sure that motard wheels were not standard items pre-2000. There is a very good chance you'll find some already put together if you watch eBay patiently. Will likely be hard to find any wheels that have been re-spoked from originals with a cush-drive hub.

Also don't forget to search the forums. There's many pages on this exact topic, including lotsashit on cast wheels if you ain't racing.

well i consider reasonably to be around 1000€ but not much over.
after all, i dont need Titanium spokes and modified 7 Series Aluminum rims, the mid range durability is enought for the use i will have them in. im trying to say that i dont want the cheapest ones i can get becouse they will dissapoint me mostlikely, but i wont need the best ones there is either.

Thanks for your replys,
going to see what i can do about my problem when im now moore informed about the situation i have.

Hi im getting some Marchesini supermoto wheels for my 09 fe450 but they only have a fitting chart for the KTMs. I was just wondering if anyone can tell me what year KTM has the same fitting as the 09 Husaberg. So i know which one to order. thnx
