Howdy all,

Just got back from a great days racing at a local track named "3 sisters", in the North West UK (I was only a spectator unfortunately...).

I met up with Dave Clarke & his crew who run the Husaberg team. The lads did well!

Some pictures added to my album if you want to check them out.

Also added some video, follow the link below!

careful

once you start racing you'll lose all your savings, have multiple credit cards all max'd out, get to know the nurses at your local A&E on first name basis.
you'll wake one morning and find yourself hunting around the bins in the paddock looking for a used rear slick thats in better condition then the scrub'd out wet you have.
Get fired from you job cos you take to many days off to go practicing and when you are at work your on the internet all the time looking for upgrades to your bike.

its a slippery slop my friend.

I think it's too late, I'm already biten by the bug. I had a track day up in Preston @ Trax & loved it! Bit of a slippy tarmac surface with wheels spinning in all directions, but it was so much fun I nearly peed myself ::D

Been getting prices for slicks, warmers, even been measuring up the Hussa for van dimensions (i.e. sell the car & get a van - put haven't told the wife yet... :smilebox:

Good Luck.
oh keep the car ( keeps the misses happy) get an old caravan and convert it to take a bike, thats what i did nice and warm when its pissing down :)

Wow small world Chris, if your the guy I'm thinking of, we had a chat & I was asking you where you got the Husaberg/name badges/logos etc done on your leathers after one of your races?

Crispin

Fine thanks Chris, so is that the end of the season now, no more racing until spring next year?

Oh Chris, I meant to ask, I know it was Joyda leathers who did your gear, but which graphic design company did your "BABBITT" logo please?

Thanks

Crispin

Kool, great job!

I would probably have a go of doing my own, so have been looking for a graphic design software package this afternoon on the web. Obviously theres all sorts, all different price ranges etc, + some free ones. Which one did you use for yours if you don't mind?

Cheers

Crispin

ummmm, microsoft paint..... seriousley. you dont need fancy design software to make simple badges like that. You just need to give rough idea of what you want. I think I still have the original design. Ill show you if I can find how to pist a pic somewhere...

Found out how :tongue3:

heres the original design, and the actual badge that got made....

OK, thanks, I saw your avatar & thought the text looked curved & undulating, and yes it is, but probably because it's the actual badge, & it's not quite flat, hence the effect....

I was thinking you had some fancy 3D text modelling software!! 8O

Cheers for the update

Crispin

Nah, Its just cos I took the picture of the badge straight of the back of my leathers, and the curve is the hump :D
