hi guys, i'm new to here so sorry if this has been covered before. does anyone know where i can get a decent enduro sump guard for a 400.

thanks for your time

out of Australia you can get a whipps or a B&B bash plate, they are seriously strong, 4mm alloy units with stainless fixings, they are about 150 - 180 A$ - some people dont like the alloy plates because they accentuate the engine noise and rattle, but that can be fixed with some adhesive sponge rubber tabs when you fit it.

if its the 2000 (1999?) to 2008 frame, i think the HD polyethelyne plates from Hyde Racing would fit - if you dont like alloy ones.

and theres also the Berg Hardparts enduro bashplate, which is vented.

for me, I reckon theres nothing better than the alloy B&B basplate.

Personally I prefer the Whipps to B&B. On pre 2009 Bergs they are 'quick release'. A quarter turn fitting like a Dzus screw and they are off which is much simpler than the B&B, especially when you have to change the oil as often as you do with a Berg.

I made my own out of some flat sheet for my 501 mimicking the Whips design but using 2 bolts at the front so its a few more turns to release it.
