Street Legal Off-Road Tires, FE400

I'm looking to plate my bike so I need a street legal tire. The bike will rarely be ridden on pavement so I'm looking for the best enduro tire out there that's street legal.

Any suggestions?

I'm up in Ontario, so I'm mainly woods riding. A mix of clay, sand, mud, rocks, roots and associated cuts and bruises.

My favorite combo for DOT tires (all tires I've tried as a matter of fact), are the Pirelli Scorpion Pro (front), and Kenda Trakmaster II rear. The Pirelli is a great front tire, and handles sand very well (same pattern as the S12's). The Kenda wears very well, and you will be able to use it for quire a while.

For the front there are 2 choices I recommend. The Pirelli Scorpion Pro as the best offroad grip in many areas for a DOT.
And the Michelin Desert, which in my opinion performs a little under the Pro in soft/intermediate but will surely outlast it.
Maybe twice as long.
I have the Pro on my 650 now, and a desert on the shelf.
Unfortunately for the rear I don't run DOT. I like a better bite than many of them provide. I haven't been doing the Dual sport as much anyway so I run the IRC M5B 130/80/18 rear. I think is the best.
If you must run DOT. Try the Pirelli Scorpion xcmh. . Problem is though. It doesnt perform well in sand or loam

I ordered a set of Maxxis Desert tires. I hear they can go the distance. I tried to get Michelin Deserts but they were backordered.
