My first post..... I have a 2005 FS650C that I want to make Street Legal in Wa. State. I need suggestions on who to get parts from, who makes the best system, what kind of questions do I ask the vendor...etc. I need it to be street legal so I can title it for the street.

Suggestions?

I live in WA state too (Spokane) and made my '05 FS650c street legal. Rocky Mt. ATV has some good parts and the Tusk stuff is very cost effective. I ordered the Polisport head light in black for only $55 and it looks great. Biggest problem is getter enough power from the stator to run a 12vdc system. Trail Tech will add windings and a rectifier very reasonably as well as a digital speedo, they are in Oregon. Get a 16 tooth front sprocket to better utilize the massive torque for the road. It allows an easy 70 mph cruise. If the Washington safety Nazi's give you a hard time at your inspection, license it in Idaho or Alaska. By law, WA has to acknowledge out of state registrations, per a resiprosity agreement.

I just used the factory stuff. KTM harness, switches and computer. Minimum messing around with extra wiring and it fits perfectly of course. Made a custom number plate bracket otherwise pretty easy conversion.
