All the empty prongs? That is a central grounding location - all grounds go there.
I beleive it is attached close to the rectifier/regulator unit - (converting AC to DC and regulating voltage)
Like madsledhead it's central ground point normally (screw under yours component), but I don't understand what is this component, maybe it's normal junction box.
Did you try do disconnect it and see if there is some manufacturer number written on it?
If you have ohmmeter you can test this unit with it.
If there is small resistance (less than ohm) between all connections it means that component is just junction box.
that looks like the central ground point but the box under it looks like the voltage rectifier/regulator thats on my old school berg,....I thought the newer ones had a different style regulator with fins on it though?

this box has 2 wires: yellow and brown. I think that this is a regulator. At this moment yellow wire connect "plus".
Are brown wire must be connected with yellow from stator?
PS. my berg hasn't battery, starter, etc. Only cdi and light
Your bike is the FS? then the box that the central ground is bolted to is a AC regulator - sends regulated AC to parts of your lighting system. The regulator/Rectifier is directly beside it - this is of your DC components.
madsledhead, thank you.
yes, FS.
Bu i don't understand that how connect the AC regulator . I see two wires: yellow and brown. What wire connect with light and what wire connect with stator?
Beside AC regulator only CDI.
Typical for all regulators - they simply "side branch" of the circuit - the other wire goes to ground. It is a commom mistake people make is thinking they are "current in - current out"
I am not good at explaining - Wire from stator to all AC components with one component bieng the regulator, other wire to ground.
OK - I'm trying to sort this out too as I'm having very weak lights & Taff reckons its a poor earth. So found my central earth which is a 8 pronged spider plate that sits on top of the "strange unit" which by my wiring diagram is the Regulator?? it has a yellow from the stator & a black which then links to the spider & therefore to ground.
Then there is the regulator / Rectifier which has a red & white next to a brown but if you look at the diagram it shows a yellow between & if you look at the back of the reg it shows a green between the RW & B
Given that brown is generally the earth, could I have the brown in the wrong place and should there be a yellow wire in-between?? (cause there aren't any spare wires available??)
