strange noise??

my 03 fe501 has a strange noise comming from what seems to be the gearbox when the bike is idleing. it sounds like a worn bearing or something loose. is there anything i should be looking for when ni pull it apart?? does this sound like a common berg problem???
any help is appreciated as i am fairly unfamiliar with the bike ( just jumped ship from yamaha)

Did you just by the bike and it sounds weird?

This sounds like the case of the mis matched sprague clutch parts. Do a search in the mechanical section of the forums. There was recently another post about this same thing and someone had linked a You Tube video of a Husaberg that was making a whining type noise.

there is a full report on it in the owners doc. it will be under upgraded parts i think?
