Strange fuel system issue, need help.

After 2 failed factory fuel pumps, I now have a CA fuel pump and haven't had issues with it yet. My 2010 570 stopped the other day and would not start. Fuel pump is running. Pulling off the fuel line right before the injector and it shoots gas out about a foot. Cleaned the injector and looking down the throttle body I can see it spraying some fuel up to about 1/4 throttle and then it doesn't spray anymore. I can pour gas directly down the throttle body and it runs fine until that gas is gone and then dies. I'm thinking it has to be the injector being partially blocked so I bought a new one and installed it and the exact same thing happens. Some fuel squirts up to 1/4 throttle and then nothing after. Not enough fuel to run. Anybody have this same issue? If not, any ideas? Dealer is 3.5 hours away so not real keen on driving 14 hours and taking 2 days off to take it there.

Will it crank and idle! I would ck the TPS. Also ck your battery. I had a friend with a KTM500exc that did that and his turned out to be his battery! Go Figure!

These systems have a clear fold mode that will turn off the injector when not running and open more than 1/4 throttle. That tells me that your TPS is probably working correctly. I would start with a compression and leak down test. I had a 130hr. FE570 that did the same thing and had major leak down through intake valves and a clogged injector.

Thank you for the responses. I need to add that the bike was running fine and then while sitting a stop light, it just died and hasn't started sense. Again, if I pour gas in the throttle body it runs fine until it runs that gas out.

Finally took the bike to the dealer (3.5 hrs away) and they tell me that I need a new fuel pump and possibly a regulator. This is the 3rd fuel pump on the bike and it is a California Cycleworks. I haven't heard of any of them going bad and it IS still running they just say it's not pumping enough pressure. The dealer is discounting the parts but even discounted the stock fuel pump is 3 times the cost of the Cycleworks pump.

I'm very tempting to buy another Cycleworks pump and see if it works and not let them fix it.

try the little things to rule them out, spark plug and spark plug boot should be 5 k ohms . Had a friend having issues first it was the plug then the boot was arching visible at night

Turns out it was the fuel pump AGAIN. This makes the 4th pump I've had. 2 factory pumps, 1 CA cycleworks pump (never quit but stopped putting out enough pressure) and now a new KTM pump. Ridiculous, absolutely ******* ridiculous. I'm eating so much crow right now as I was so pro FI and only went back to a 4 stroke because of FI and it's has been a problem since day one. What's funny is I had a 2004 Gas Gas FI 450 and with all it's issues it never once left me stranded or had a FI issue.
