I have a 2009 FE570 that I use exclusively as a snow bike. I thought I would use a battery tender(cheap Napa one) to keep the battery up. When I plug the charger in, the computer, fuel pump, and the headlight come on for a few seconds and then turn off. After a few seconds, this repeats itself as long as the battery tender is connected. I am at a loss!

I have a battery tender that I use on 3 of 2011 Husaberg's without any problems?

Just a thought on this, You are hooking the tender direct to the battery and not to a 12v feed acces wire correct? I do know the newer KTM bikes look for a higher voltage spike to switch the system on and then hold it on for a few seconds until it see's a voltage drop then turning the system off back off. I have not really looked for what voltage it requires to switch the system on but I would suspect it is what the regulator puts out running.

The charger might be spiking and kicking system on as charge is always above nominal battery voltage.

That sounds logical FE350. The software is probably updated after -09 as it is just an issue with the first models.
