From what I ehar, a steering damper would work really well in those rocks. I just ordered a steering damper for my 07 FE550e along with sending the suspension to WER in New Jersey. I am anxious to try the new upgrades as we have a lot of rocks around where I ride.

I have tons of that some with switch-backs where I ride and thats why I'm not sold on the trials tires.

Trials tires are supposed to be best on the stones. I usually run the Dunlop 803, but I just ordered a Pirelli MT43. They say the MT43 has stiffer sidewalls and is the only trials tire that you can run with a flat. When I was riding my '87 Husqvarna 430 in NETRA enduros I would chug along up the rocky hills passing by guys stuck with knobbies. I would definitey want a trials tire on the trails in these videos.
