Well... my 2011 fe390 was stolen earlier this week... thanks to Facebook we were able to get it back but the idiots that took it gave it a nice blue rattle can job... unfortunately they weren't responsible thieves and did it on the bike.... basically got over spray on everything... frame.... forks... swing arm.... radiator... shock cap... seat... akrapovik exhaust... they also broke the handgaurd plastic off rather that unscrew it and the same for the fork protector plastic. apparently they thought everything was plastic so all the exposed areas on the gas tank and sub frame are blue also. I'm able to get most of the paint off the metal parts... making a list of replacement parts now. Feel violated but at least I got it back and it doesn't appear that they did any mechanical damage.

Post a picture of the f***d up bike before doing a proper refurbishing.

It just shows the state of mind of the sort of person that would steal somebodies bike in the first place! Great to hear you got it back, pity about the paint job!

The Bluesaberg.... Further I dug.. the more they got with paint... I think the wheels and tires are the only things that they didn't touch with some paint.

I was able to get most of it cleaned off... only part I couldn't really get was inside the fins of the radiator. Do need new plastic but many hours and a couple beers later this is how it sits so far...

They did break a few things off... fork protectors... hand guard plastic... too lazy to get a screw driver

I'll post more as it comes together.

I hope they get death by firing squad.....glad you got your bike back mostly untouched, most arent as lucky

I still cant figure out their motivation for painting it like that! It's not like they could have sold it looking like that and if they were planning on riding it anywhere the first person with any idea would have noticed that it was strange! Maybe they were trying to make it look like a Yamaha? Did they just find your bike or did they find the culprits also?

Buy some yamaha stickers and put them on for a photo shoot. Then post them on the internetz for a laugh!

What a bunch of idiots...

F*****g arseholes. I'd die if my Berg was stolen! But yes at least you got it back. Has sort of turned into a Yamaha though :D You'll have it back to normal in no time mate.

ha ha ha ha thats HORRRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! iM SOOO SORRY DUDE.. I would get a big can of acetone and go to town erasing any trace of the event. Buy new plastics and try to forget.. get some psychotherapy for the PTSD and try to move on.. I would be so angry I would have night mares for years .. Im sorry..

Glad you got it back :)

Look on the bright side they could have painted it orange.

What a crack up! =D> Seeing a Husaberg painted with KTM orange would have made you spew ya guts up for sure :pukeright: mopedsmile: :pukeleft:

Very glad to ha e it back!! Was actually considering trading it for a 350 or 501... but once it was gone... and then the time I spent tearing it apart I realized how much I really like this bike... and now even more as husaberg is no more :(

They did catch the guys... I had posted it as stolen on a local sell and swap Facebook group... cops got a call the next day on it so they had it for less than 24 hrs. Now working on getting them to pay for it.

Thanks much for the support. I'll post pics when I get it done. Sending my suspension out to Dale EO this week also so should have a better than new bike when finished ;)
