Stock seat wont stay put.

On my 10 fe 450 the front portion of the seat where it mounts above the air intake wont stay in its mounts after any short ride. Is there a cure for this or is my seat base junk? only 90 or so miles on the machine. I would like to maybe upgrade to a better seat,but it would be a shame if I spent the money on a new one and that one pops of as well..........

Have you slotted the seat in the middle hooks as well, not just the front ones?

I had the same thing happen on my bike. It would come unhooked at the tank. I got to looking and saw that the seat was bent from me picking my bike up.. Never pick from there , Use the hand holds !! I got a new seat and problem gone. Hope this helps.

yes it has hooks in the middle and front of the seat.

I have the same problem. It's common. I haven't seen a fix posted.

no it did not. I think I need another set of eyes or someone to manuver the seat while I look and see if the middle tabs are hooking up. :x
