Hey guys i bought a 2010 FE390 a while back (BEST BIKE IVE EVER OWNED/ RIDDEN!!!!) and the previous owner had a weld on steering dampener mount but took the old dampener with him or her before it sold. i bought it from a dealer so i cant ask the previous owner and i would rather ask you guys before i call the dealer because chances are they already forgot that they even sold that bike. anyways here are some pictures.

That looks like a BRP weld-on mount - so the damper was probably a Scotts.

It'd be useful if you could measure the distance from the centre of the damper pin to the pivot point of the triple clamp.

Agreed!

Contact Jake at http://www.brpmoto.com/ with that dimension AND the offset of your triple clamps (it's stamped on them). He should be able to supply you with the remaining parts of a SUB mount (together with a Scotts/Öhlins damper if you need one).

It is ESSENTIAL that the damper pivot lines up exactly with the steering head pivot.

If you're buying a secondhand damper, be aware that there is a road version and an off-road version. Both look the same.
