well Taffy, I have only owned this bike for a couple of years so I can't be 100% sure of anything about it. The FX was not made as a 550 from what I can see... the 550 was only produced as an FC model. Mine had no headlight, no electrical system whatsoever, and the electric start was something I added myself. However, it did have the "deep" flywheel and the stator has lighting coils. I did have it rewound by sparks... and it e-starts on the first revolution now, hot or cold.
