hi all just a quick question my stator cover on my berg snaped where stator bolts on and cut my stator wires will stator still work when i put a fresh casing on ( the bike cut out strait away please can sum put my mind at ease

I think you'd be fine if you were to hook the wires back up. Just make sure you wrap them good where the new connections are so they don't suffer any issue from water.

A picture might also help us.

thanks mate iv wired them back together and taped them up with electrical tape i cant send pic because iv sent my casing of to be welded thanks it was a clean break tho right in the center ov casing and their is no damage to the actual stator just wires

I would use something better than electrical tape. The tape won't seal out moisture. Don't know about where you're at, but I picked up some "liquid" insulation. Goes on as a liquid then solidifies. It's supposed to keep moisture out. I have an application for it, just haven't worked up enough ambition to actually use it yet... Also, there are various types of shrink tubing that are equipped with a compound that will melt when you shrink the tubing, and then make the area water tight.

Twist conductor and solder first before insulating.

I use standard heat shrink tubing, but before shrinking it, squeeze some silicone in, I tend to use 3 Bond grey, and then heat. Squeezes up into a nice mess, wipe down the drool and its nice and watertight when set.
