My bike start absolutely perfect on the button when cold (Choke on)
But needs some throttle when hot (No choke offcourse)

Idle is good & also idlespeed is ok after starting

Can someone give me a hint here, what's this a sign of ?? Pilot bigger/smaller ?? Fuelscrew has been tried with no succes, and is set for best performance / no bogs. (1 out)

PJ 35.
MJ 180
Choke 40
Slide modded to no 45.

Thanks

Sounds like you are in pretty good shape. If you want to attempt to improve hot starting and not have to open the throttle then try the next size smaller pilot jet.

Too large of a pilot jet can cause you hot starting issues and too small can cause cold starting issues. Try to find the happy medium between the two.

Thanks,

Will try a smaller PJ, and maybe a larger Choke to compensate when cold ??

My problem is that when hot it will "partly" start, which makes the sprague let go, and it spins. So often it takes a few attempts.

I changed my carburator to the Keihin carb that husaberg use from 2004

Works much better and starts easyer

It has hot start choke..

33PJ 100% certain as eric says.

drop the needle for a test. will help the starts but you really want the needle set for mid range. IF it is better to start but awful on mid throttle go up on the MJ by 5.

leave the choke jet alone. it's the only bloody thing thats working right and what do you want to do to it!!!!!!

suggest that your auto decomp needs resetting. the spring is too soft and the decomp is laying down before the bike has started. i would do it in this order;

1) 33PJ
2) auto decomp spring strengthened
3) lower the needle
4) having done 3 and have problems then raise MJ to 185.

Thanks for your answers guys.

I decided this morning to try out the FCR41 i bought some time ago. I guess i was lucky cause the beast fired up a lot easier hot & Cold with this one, and it is not even fitted or jetted proporly yet.. I think I will concentrate on getting this carb up to speed instead of the Dellorto.

Sorry for waisting your time on this question, but it was just what it took to get me started on the FCR project.
