Well I had a good ride today. I put 30 street and 30 dirt on the 6 fiddy. I had one problem though early on in the dirt after stalling it. This was my first ride at 1/6th valve adjustment from the 1/4 turn I had it set at before, and my usual little blip of the throttle didn't work. Hot start didn't work either and I probably fludded it. Wel I got it going before I killed the battery and realized the idle was a little low. I turned it up and had no further problems as I tested it several times later. It seems the 1/4 turn adjustment started and idled a little easier but doesn't run better as I like the feel and response of the new 1/6th adjustment

hi there, i'm officially a newby to this site! recently bought a 650 and have had to have my constant grin surgically removed from my face during working hours as it is scaring my colleagues! however, smiling was a thing of the past tonight when my kickstart only berg decided to give me a yellow and blue fingers up and not fireback up at all once i had switched her off?? i take it the warm start is not preferred by the oldgirl? does it have a warm choke? it is a 2002 classic.

No hot start button on the Dellorto carb. Keep your pilot/start jet a tad on the lean side to aid hot starting. Never ever give it any throttle whilst kicking the old gal.
