Starting problems

Hi.

I have just put back together the engine of my 2001 FS650e
and now I have problems to start the engine.
I went through "Hard starting guide", except measuring the electricity.

I have checked:
- valve adjustment
- ignition (marks on ignition cover and rotor)
- spark (sparking, seems to work ok)
- carburetor (did not touch it because it worked good before)

The problem is, that after numerous kicks the engine does not even
give any sign of wanting to start. But then suddenly it starts and seems
to work fine. I did a short ride (5km) and adjusted the carburetor. Idling
was perfect and response very good when opening throttel.
Then I stopped the engine and tried to start it again
emidiatelly ... nothing. No sound, not even a small explosion, same as
engine was cold.

Does anyone know what should I check? Did I miss smoething?

I have just put apart the engine (not for the first time), changed water
seal rings on piston lining and put it back together. It worked perfectly
before.

Nice day.
