the black is not oil, it is an indication of a too rich fuel mixture. listen to husabutt.

I am sorry and guilty for ignorance, but how can you be sure it is not oil? It doesn't smell like gas and it glitters like oil.

Anycase of course I will clear the carb, but why the engine gets hot really fast, can you guess? I am afraid of it

my ignorance I wish... Is it right to be so hot you cannot touch it for over a second when you only ride it for less than 100 meters?

short of fuel, you have a blocked pilot circuit. dismantle the carb and blow out completely. then rebuild and adjust the fuel screw for best response. could still be ignition but that is nmy best guess.

did you say 30PSI compression? it should be 130psi i think? maybe you have a broken valve spring?

we have had two 27mm exhaust valves drop their heads off this week alone. you are warned!!!!

Taffy

Taffy

did not get it at all! what do you mean? I never said anything about psi

@ husabutt
Tommorow I'll remove the carb and clean it.I'll right down everything. Thank you

take note of the needle at the top toward the clip. if it appears to be worn, replace it and the needle jet it slides into. its a common problem.

many thanks... I'm still on hold due to health issues... nothing serious though :!:

I removed the carb and cleaned it. The mixture screw is OK, so I did not find what was wrong yet... I wished it was the mixture screw. There was no serious dirt in the carb... Hope it will work fine when I put it back though... Still have not put on because I'm still serving my country.... Will come back when do... Many thanks

Well, I cleaned and blowed the carb. I put it on and the bike won't start. The spark is new, I checked it and it was black again... too rich mix, ok then. I cleaned it out it back, kicked three times and it just seemed it would start, but then.... I hear and GLANG coming from the top of the engine... I stoped kicking of course. Valves maybe? PLEASE HELP

p.s. I tried to open the top cover of the engine and look that chain, but one of the three screws is really stuck. How can I unscrew it? I destroyed two allens and it is stilll there. I put some WD40... nothing

it was fine, tight and clean.... wish I only had to replace that...

you need two people. i bet one of the screws is the one right 'under' the breather spigot right?

first, i would use an impact screwdriver that twists CCW as you hit it. they're brilliant!

secondly, blow out the heads of the allen screws with air etc and then try and get mole grips on it and WAIT, while someone with a fresh allen key that still has the corners on it (i.e. no wear) to turn it. between the two you'll get it. TURN THEM TOGETHER.

if that doesn't work you must use a chisel and hammer the chisel to turn the screw head CCW.

after that you must drill the heads off. which is very dificult.

the noise in the top end could be anything. try and explain the noise and how and when you heard it. i can't see what harm you would do to continue to try and kick it over again or better still, with the plug out to turn it over with a T-bar on the right side crank nut.

good luck

Taffy

you have changeable ends. a good one comes with about 6-10 bits. a few are flat-head and philips whilst if you're lucky you get a No4, No5 and No6 allen key head. as soon as i feel it's difficult i no longer try until.....

i stop and get it out immediately. the other thing i'll do is go to some 'virgin' keys that i only get out when i have an "iffy" one!

good luck

Taffy

why I am not that lucky to be your neighboor!!!! Ok, I'll try and tell you what I see under the top cover... Pray for me guys!!

It worked! The decompiler cable was more tensed than it should. Must happend with my last fall, where I broke the decomp lever. I did loosen the cable completely, and it started fine. The high revving must happend because of the valve that the decomp opens...

Will I have a problem if I remove that cable for ever?

Thanks for your big help

I did remove the decompressor cable completely. It seems the other two auto decompressor do the job and the manual one is not necessary.
