Does anyone out there know if there is any alternative positioning for the starter relay.I've checked on the "Better than new" doc and can't find anything.Looks like extending the battery leads and cable tie around the frame just above the carb to me,any other ideas ?.
I rewired my bike and moved the rectifier down reattached it and used the hole left to bolt the relay too up under seat, above the rectifier safe and protected. I just had to use longer battery leads and made a good earth under the seat on the frame

depends where your battery is. if it were under the seat you could put it up there somewhere.
but incase you didn't know, the positive wire steals power for every inch the current travels. that's why you always see the battery, solenoid and starter near each other.
except on a mini but what did that ever have on it to recommend it!
