Starter motor hole Blank?

Hi guys,

Im rebuilding my bike and im not going to use the starter motor (kick only)

im looking for a blank but cant find anyone that sells them? can anyone shed some light on this? looks around 30mm

Timing is everything. I was just getting ready to button mine up after deleting the starter. I picked up the bung on eBay. I saw your post and pulled the bung and measured it for you.

not sure if the 04 + plug fits the older cases ?

perhaps Alison didn't know that the old H number is Ok for later Gav. we have used ones here and of course the up to 08.

use the 'O' ring off the starter motor and the groove depth off the SM as well if you do go that way OK?

so after measuring it, saying you cant find one,... then someone actually taking the time to post replies with photos in with dimensions AND a part number so you can buy one, you then say you will "make" one on your uncles lathe, ... if you were gonna do that why not just measure the hole and turn one out in the first place?

The measurements were so he could make one. That is what I suspected he was doing.

Ahh sorry mate, maybe i left some details out like at the point of me making this thread i didnt know my uncle had a lathe. After i mentioned about building the bike back up and buying a blank he asked me if i would like me to use his lathe... that i never knew he had..

I also had porridge for breakfast and im wearing grey socks.
