Finished the carb re-build this weekend along with battery re-charge and fit Optimate permanent connections.
On starting the starter motor engaged off the button but then just started spinning as if not meshing properly. Now the SM either just spins without engaging or engages turns the motor a couple of times before just spinning again.
The SM seemed OK before the battery died a couple of weeks ago.
Any ideas before I strip the side casing as to what I should be looking for as the probable cause?
