Stainless steel in the exhaust pipes?

Hi,

The exhaust pipes should be stainless steel or? I think I read that somewhere but you get corrosion nevertheless. How to prevent this?

Not sure if they are stainless steel but if they are, never clean them with a metal scourer particularly steel wool.

Small amounts of the steel wool get embedded into the stainless steel and that is what actually rusts. The same goes for cutting or filing stainless steel. You should avoid using a tool that has been used to cut other metals.
