Do the majority of the bergs with left side kickstarters require a longer rear brake line?
I have been trying to get SS lines for my 1999 fe501e I assumed a berg 550 line 2000+ would fit on the rear as they also have left side rear brakes . I ordered a Hel line and I received a line 1/2 the length of mine. They said my bike is not listed and this was the correct line for the 550? Am I incorrect in assuming it should be the same...
It has the same part # as mine
I know the front have different forks and maybe different length lines.
Where can I get front and rear SS brake lines.

One option could be going to shop that can custom make you any size like you need. Here in Houston we have tons of hydraulic line places. Or did you already get this handled? Olaf to have one made for my 00 501. As the oem line is just to short and pulls the line from the holders easily. But in also eyeing a 2001 fx470 swing arm to swap to, so will defiantly need a line length adjustment if I go that route.

Go custom as Dirtdog says.
Hel make custom brake lines, on their website you put in the dimensions you need length, banjo size, colour etc and away you go......not too much more than regular sizes either.

Good Luck,

Carl.

we sell them. they ahve a fiddly twisted mount at the M/C and the early bikes had a different approach to the latter bikes. can't recall it off the top of my head....
