despite saying how much i liked black wheels, when tuts was asking about them, but wouldn't buy any as they get messed up guess what.......yes thats right............just bought some.

black talon hubs, black excel rims, stainless spokes.

will post pics once i get them

just chatting with the lad who i'm having the wheels off and mentioned i got a berg.

he has a chuckle, he's currently got a ktm after having bergs since 2000 and reckons the ktm isn't half the bike and in all those years and about 12 bikes he never had any real problems.
 
got the wheels never seen such a tidy second hand pair of black wheels.
mounted the front with a mousse and michelin no problem.
as for the rear tried mounting a new tire and inner tube - i couldn't be bothered to get the rear mousse out of the rear that its already in - and ended up throwing it around the garden. went had a beer, came back 20 mins later and the tire went straight on.
just got to get some new sprocket bolts and i'll post pics.

got the 1st rnd of the british enduro championship up the rd this weekend all the best brits including juha salminen and a few other visitors so going to see if i can give myself the weekend off.

hint of the day; peices cut out of old plastic oil bottles make good rim protectors when using tire irons.
 
finally here she is with her new shoes.

That looks great! I laced a set of black rims for a frind of mine with a KX250 about a year ago. May have to do a set for myself!
