Do you see rb on the screen? If so that means replace battery. It's a lithium battery number 2430.
I've been having that problem and it seems to be getting worse, I suspect that the throw over to the bikes power system relay is too slow or faulty.
My advice to you is that if the bike is new get it documented at the dealership, or have them replace it. I have seen new ones on the KTM's get replaced because they are bad from new.
I have a new unit that I am going to try out and if that solves the problem then I know it's the unit itself and not something in the feed from the bike power to the odo.
For clarification, the battery runs the odo when the bike is off. But as soon as the bike starts and the power relay pulls in and energizes the fuse block the odo then runs on the bike power. So there must be a switch inside the odo that bypasses the battery when the bike is running, and then switches back to the battery once the power source from the bike is removed. On my bike, I think this switch works okay when sitting still but once moving I don't think it stays in and the odo starts running off of the battery because the battery in my unit has been going dead faster and faster as time goes on.
