speedo change WS

Hi all,

Finally got the speedo working had to fit a new sensor, one thing suddenly occured I am now running 17 inch wheels so now when I am doing say 30 mph the speedo is showing 45 mph does anyone know how to change the ws size number 2205 down to 1840, there is nothing in the instructions or manual that I can find about changing this figure.

Search on speedometer, lots of answers, depending on what kind of speedometer you have.

Hi Joe,

To the rescue as per usual, found it, you have to disconnect the main battery feed but you need to have the back up battery in the speedo this allows you to bring up the WS function.

Still got problems in changing the wheel size, fitted a back up battery in the speedo disconnected the main battery went to set up menu but still no WS icon.
The only time you see the WS icon is when the speedo consol first comes on so the icon is there but just can't bring it up on it's own, I require further assistance on this can any body HELP please.

Problem solved found a post from Parsko, if you disconnect the Black wire from the three wire block connector that comes from the speedo when you now select the set up menu the WS icon appears.

Hi Sparks,
Thanks to your remark, I managed to change the wheel size on my 2007 fs 650, by disconnecting the three wire plug of the speedo and then entering the modification screen; it now showed the WS icon.
