I did some work for new circuit,and speeding.

My bike 2004 650 HP Between 66 and 69HPin SAE on ourdyno (see my gallery)

I saw that how longer the gearing the lower the HP,strange or not......

I did today some test :

15-40: in 6 th gear at 9000rpm and a rear bridgestone slick 2kg: 66HP
in 5th " " 66,7hp

Topspeed; at 9000RPM: 195KM/u on the bench

With 16-40 at 8000RPM 180km/u on the bench

For supermoto I ride with short ratio,for supermono or monobike with 16-40,or 15-40 ratio.

Hopefully this is usefull for several members.

you're still alive then fella!

i can see 61bhp but no more then i see some higher numbers? don't get it?

also, would love to see you edit your photos to explain the con-rodand the face of the head etc and more...what is the roadracer again? you may have told us. the piston?

Hello,

I have changed from DOMA to FP,who gained 2-3Hp on top rpm, It was necassry to lean out the jetting with the FP exh system,i have now 48-4-168 with open saddle.Doma was 50-4-178

also I have worked on the airfilter+whole in the saddle and some dynno work,tonight I hope to find the high output with the long ratio ( 15-16-40)as before with the short gear ratio;
I had some contact with several persons who said there is much power to find around the airfilter area.

The head is the same tuning as before,piston is also the same.

I will posted the new dynno sheets soon;

I was hoping to pass the 70Hp barriere and the 70NM,maybe with the X1 cam or the special factory cam 272degrees and 11mmlift.

in my experience the air filter work only helps the bottom end. if i was developing your motor i would work on the area i felt it needed next be it bottom, midrange or top end power.

i'm supriesed that you need such a large main jet still, if you're running a 168 then i think you have a lot more to come!

yesterday I worked again on the dyno

Best result for me with 48 -4 -172main,
then I have between 68-69Hp SAE on temp of 13 degrees C,or 70-71DIN HP on the backwheel.

On 20degrees C the most I cab get is 66-67SAE HP.

The warmer the less Hp I can found.

test also with 16-40 speeding on 8000RPM toward peak power 182km/u

Now I will experiment with different spark plugs,in near future

Hi Madero,

The jetting speaks for it's self as the temp goes up then richer the mixture becomes, an over rich mixture gives a decline in HP.
The temp range here at the moment is around 30 to 35 Degrees C

Are running a gas analyzer with your dyno?, this is a must.
What needle and clip setting are you running?.

Regards

Sparks.

Sparks,

indeed you are correct.

We use a sonde to put in the exhaust cap and while we ride on the bench there is a big ventilator who gives the proper air flow to the bike.
