Speedcell Batteries.
Has anyone heard about these batteries? I just heard about them on another site
and seen a picture. They weigh less than a pound. Like .9 .
So you can save some 5 or 6 pounds.
I would like to find out more. They cost around $160.00 and up I believe.

What do you want to know??

Haven't used a speedcell battery but have used the type of chemistry, lol. The batteries certainly work.

We did have a thread started on Lithium batteries like the Speedcell, TurnTech and others somewhere, but I have been running a TurnTech Lithium battery in my 950 Adventure for a couple months now, and I love it. I sure can't see myself buying a conventional lead acid motorcycle battery ever again. My 5Ah Turntech weighs 1.9 pounds and is powerful enough to start my 950 twin. TurnTeh's 2Ah battery weighs less than a pound.

TurnTech has a website with a detailed FAQ section, too, but now that he is a Husaberg owner it looks like JoeT will be around here to answer battery questions directly.

No affiliation with Joe--I just think he has a good product and good customer service, plus he is one of us.

I guess I should have mentioned that I sell a competing battery to the SpeedCell. These batteries are eventually going to replace lead acid when either the price of lead acid increases or the lithium decreases.

BTW-Johnf3 has a test battery, when he finishes testing it will be sent to someone else. I have 2 of each battery size that are testers.

RE: Re: Speedcell Batteries

ThanksJoe,
I might be nearing the end of my original Husaberg Yuasa battery. If I decide to go lightweight lithium I will choose yours over the Speedcell
