Spark Arrestor Options for the '09 450

With the National Enduros requiring a spark arrestor, what options exist? My understanding is the bike's original muffler does not have a SA.

They have a pretty HD screen on the end of the muffler. I bet that will suffice for most tech inspections.

It has to be stamped US Forest Service Approved I'd be surprised if it isn't it looks just like a regular XCRW muffler.

A ProMoto Billet Endcap might fit. That would give you a spark arrestor.

Since I am from Canada, I always say that the CDN bikes dont have USFS approved SAs but they do have sparkys. I have never been questioned once they realize that I am not from the US.

Hey all the 09 muffler is not usfs approved!! But if you want the less expensive way
to fix go with pro moto's end cap ask for blue or call us we stock it,part # pmb-01-3103!
Then you will need a section of perforated center core 8" will be enough,cut so you
have a snug fit & you have saved your self around 300.00 dallars compaired to a slip-on!

Oh ya I forgot to mention that in my time spent taking care of the issue of no arrestor
i tryed an 08 akro & it fit perfectly,just needed a shorter spring from the stock unit!

I checked out the PMB website and it looks like a quality piece. I have a question though, will your set up still meet the 96db sound rule for public lands, or would one have to also utilize one of PMB's silent inserts? And, if someone were to order the end cap from you, can they also order the perforated center core from you as well?
