Thanks for the attention Dale! Your jet kits work unajusted from 2500 feet to 10200 on a ride yesterday...

We went looking for the ultimate bike to use with our technology, and we found it in the 650 Berg. I don't know why this bike hasn't caught on. On our scales, it was about 12 pounds lighter than our Yamaha Wr450. Wow.

How do they go in the snow? Yesterday the powder was so deep it was between the front fender and the headlight. I rode with a 260hp turbo Yamaha, a 1000cc Arctic Cat, and a 910cc Polaris; and me on the 650. My 93 inch track, and their 162 inch tracks. 2 of those 3 riders now want to buy the 650, with our kit. It was amazing. Go Husaberg!

Ok, where do we start...

Going riding "for work" is a great excuse with the wife. Now if it only paid something...

If anyone who reads this wants to come "ride for work" just let me know. Then I'll have another excuse to go riding!

So I'm really curious, you were riding in deep powder and didn't have problems starting / stopping? My last two rides have been in bottomless snow that had you sinking anywhere from knee to waist deep when getting off the sled. I am very intregued by something that handles and is light.

tm-enduro,

I've ridden snowmobiles since the 1973 SnoJet days, and yesterday's powder was as dry, light, thin, and deep as any I've ever ridden in. When the 260hp turbo has to switch to high boost to make the hills, it's deep.

I had my share of "stucks" but so did the long track sleds. When they get stuck, get out your shovel. When I got stuck, I'd put it in first and let the clutch out slow. The bike crawls right back on top. Our 650 is only about 40 pounds heavier than stock, with the track and ski on. That's what makes the difference.

If you crave huge hills and 4 feet of powder, buy a 1000cc sled with a 162 inch track. If you want to ride anywhere on the mountain, and handle as quick as your dirt bike, try our kit. You'll have a lot of fun on those 2 to 3 foot deep days, if you have a good base. Yesterday there was no base. I'm nuts in the snow, and it was a blast for me. I made it everywhere the big sleds went, and had more fun.(I'm on a Husaberg!!) I didn't beat any of them in the hillclimbs, but I rode a dirt bike everywhere they went. That's what impressed them. And on the way back, the rougher the trail got, the more I left them in my snowdust.

You're close enough- come over to Idaho and we'll let you decide!

Very tempting, I had hopes that the new Polaris Dragon would give me more of a feeling of riding a motorcycle (which it does compared to the triples that rule around here or even the vertical escape), but it still weighs 475 lbs. The sleds feel like I'm riding a 55 gallon oil barrel compared to my 'berg. I'm still curious how you get on it in bottomless snow, which we have more often than not.

It sure would be nice on the way out riding thru the up to 4 foot deep whoops that get created throughout the day.

hmmm, we'll have to see if I can get away.

tm-enduro,

I rode an 07 685 in the "raw" IQ chassis last week. It was the closest feeling sled to a dirt bike- but still not close to the same experience. Nice choice on a sled... that was the easiest, most fun sled I've ridden. I hear the 685 runs just like the Dragon with a can.

I'm thinking about selling my IQ 975 for a Dragon; since my sled only packs parts for testing, or other test/demo riders. It now just sits in the garage. There's nothing like letting a demo rider you've never met burn out a tank of 110 race fuel, just so he can get a chance at riding our bikes...

In the bottomless deep, it was important to stop in a track. (so I could get back on easily) I did have a few times where I either just stayed on the bike, or got on from a "lay over the seat" technique, or just stepped out a stable platform next to the footpeg. The bikes are stable when stopped. They won't tip over unless you pull it over on top of you
I even tried that a time or two...
