I don't know how you guys do it.
Where I live, the riding season is 12 months long.
After the drive I took today, I cherish my living conditions

For the bike the answer is Trelleborg's and for the Ford, 4WD and WFO!!

I admit a little jealously of living where you do, even if snow of sort you are now experiencing is of biblical proportions, as I was working outside this morning in the -32c for 4 hrs. But I guess I have no need to worry of tsunamis or earthquakes etc.

Its not "snow" as long as you can see your truck. Its not" snow" until you can go out in your garage, start your snowblower, and spend half a day just making your driveway passable.Up to that point its only"snowy"...in addition the dogs would still be in the truck and there would be at least one big smashing dent in the truck body.....nsman

Problem with CA is there are a lot of limitations on where you can ride. Most of the time it involves a few hours of hauling the bike. In Reno, I go right out my driveway and six miles later, I can emtpy a few tanks in the dirt no problem. Of course, that's only about 8 months out of the year. Right now, we have 2 feet of snow on the valley floor with more coming. Tahoe got almost 4 feet in one day last week. The snowmobilers and skiers are having one of the best years in quite a long time.

Enjoy,

You guys down south are getting all our snow. We are supposed to get 6" at sea level today (here in town), but we only have maybe 3 feet at 3,000 ft right now and realy nothing lower than that, we should have 8 ft or more of base at this point. It has been a dismal year for snowsports.

Does it not suck to have too much snow to ride the bike and not enough to go sledding.

I just ordered some trelleborgs since the winter looked like we were not going to get any snow, but it keep falling. It may get to deep to ride the berg this winter.

Are you going to Moab????

It has indeed been a frustrating winter thus far. It looks like sledding may finally start, we have 4 to 6" on the ground here in town, it is 27F and blowing at 40 to 65 mph out of the northeast, and forcast for more snow thru saturday, at least. The mtns should have got much more snow.
It would be fun to go to Moab, but right now it looks iffy, although it would be great to meet the UHE boys. That is a long drive for a weekend of riding, I need to save my vacation time.
