Hallo!

I´ve got a Husaberg FE501 0´01, and now I´ve got a small leaking from the entrance of the kickstarteraxis. Anyone that knows anything about this?

Thanks from a newbe!

this happens to all husabergs from this time!

it happens within 10 minutes of ownership!

the cure is to find a 'big, fat 'O' ring which fits in tightly between the shaft and the sidecover. this is a 100% cure.

ask your dealer if he knows the mod. if you're from the UK try SR offroad and they'll sort it.

regards

Taffy

Many thanks... for a quick answer!

My kick axis went in two pieces and has now been changed.

Before that, no problems, and now, I´ve ridden it three times since the repair when I located the leakage.

I noticed a small ring that was not quite in place. Can I remove the kick and just press it back?

make sure the grooves in the new shaft go straight and dont taper out, or your old shaft may not fit correctly. I had this problem recently, and it took some serious bodging to get round!

Yes you can, and should. It will probably stop the leak if the O-ring is not damaged.
