I did some maintenance before taking my bike up north for some riding.
I just changed the oil/filter and did a valve check not too long ago.
I also had the bike checked at a local Husqvarna dealer because on a previous ride I heard a very concerning noise "Which ended the trip". I thought the timing chain tensioner went bad and the timing chain was hitting the guides. The dealer says it wasn't the tensioner but the Auto decompression spring coming loose and fixed it.
After I got the bike back I noticed the exhaust cap was loose. "Like flapping from the exhaust loose" So I re-pop riveted it back on. I also noticed the bike is now allot harder to start after it sits for a day. And I swear there is more heat and pressure coming from the muffler now. When I originally put this muffler on it was too free up the exhaust and keep the pipes form getting too hot. Which it did. I even commented on how much better it was compared to the original muffler.
Anyways, I just got back from my trip and was going over the bike. "Had a issues with the 70 degree Aux tanks vent line" Fixed it than went for a little ride to make sure the tanks were feeding each other now. "They are."
But, When I got back I saw the muffler cap had come loose AGAIN! Anyone think there might be a bigger underlining issue at hand? Or am I just too paranoid?
While I got you. Anyone know how to make sure the bike is circulating oil correctly? I have no experience with these motors. One of my biggest worries is that the motor isnt running correctly and I wouldn't be able notice in time.
Thanks guys!
Just in case. The bike in question is a Fe57
