A while back Davo posted about bridging a wire between pins 5 and 6 in the XC1 connector to bypass the starter relay
Unfortunately the pics have gone down the rabbit hole
Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the XC 1 connector with the pins labelled correctly to share?

Mate, I don't own the model bike your talking about, but seeing how no one else has commented, have a look at these links and see if it helps. Ones to suit a KTM but should be the same. Obviously this is the patch harness connector end but should be able to work it out from this. The other link has the connectors numbered. Have a look at connector CB, I've only had a really quick look because I'm at work but it has 6 pins. The last is a complete wiring diagram. Look at the diagnostic connector on p.2. Pins 5 & 6 are white/grey wire and brown wire respectively.

I have a question.

Why are you wanting to bypass the starter relay?

Is it to test starter? If yes: Run a test line from battery positive straight to starter positive wire and the starter should work.

Is it to bypass the relay and run the starter directly from the switch? If yes: you are looking for big problems as the harness will not handle the current load and you can melt wires.

Is it to test relay? If yes: take the relay out and test it directly (A simple schematic to test can be made available)

But moral here is not to run it without the relay as the relay acts as a bridge to heavy wires that can handle the load and the switch wire can not handle this load and will fry, Thus the reason for a relay.

There should be no reason to bypass a relay in any trouble shooting techniques as this can hurt the wiring system.

If it is some other reason, please note as it might be a simple fix that someone has done.

Sorry but I was just curious to why?

It activates the electrical system. Then you can test headlights, horn and so on without starting the engine.

Oh now I get it lol, so not bypassing the starter relay but activating the ignition sense module.

This now makes sense lol.
