Shock removal. Allen key size?

Hello.

Is it a 12mm that I need? haven't got one big enough so heading out to buy one.

If it's 2003 and similar, for rear shock is rather 10mm allen key for top and bottom bolt I think...
 
he's only a star if he's right right!

it's #10 top c/w 19mm spanner and it's a #8 bottom c/w a 17mm socket.

Before reading your post I thought someone had stuck an oddball 5/16's in the bottom.
