Shimming Crank End Float

Hey all,

Getting ready to put my project all back together soon, and I've got a brand new crank to throw in my cases, just wondering about the left hand side/primary drive side shim between the balancer and main bearing inner race.

I know how to shim the right hand side to allow the right tolerance for the roller mains and have the proper tool etc, but what shim goes on the right hand side between the balancer and main to start with? I have 3 choices on the fiche 0.1mm, 0.2mm and 0.3mm. Which do I start with? Why are there 3 different sizes available if you're only meant to adjust shims only on the stator side of the crank?

Number 81 on the following is what I'm wondering about, there are 3 sizes available, yet you're only supposed to change the right side to get the correct clearance? I bought a few of each size shim for both sides to play around with.

Bump & correction, should've read "what shim goes on the left hand side between the balancer and main to start with?"
