sem's charging coil replacement!

found one out of a wall charger for charging my halogen flash light , so ive now got a reliable berg but i cant walk around at night lol, thanks for the help ....ian
 
This is an old thread but I will try anyway.
I have a SEM stator and TM 14-07 CDI, with no spark.
The stator has 5 wires- black, red, green, yellow, yellow.
Which wires should I connect to the secondary coil on the transformer?
Do I need a voltage regulator?

Another question is- why do you need a rectifier? Isn't the original CDI input is AC?

Hope you can help me start the bike.
