well i've run it for 4 years and it's into it's fifth season now.

yesterday it stalled a lot and i had a wet tail on the pipe. i'm not burning all the fuel. the end is nigh!

You think that frequent stalls and power loss are a sign of a dying SEM?

I am experiencing that a bit too.

Tick tock tick tock

the end is near
the time has come
that final burn

I hope is isn't fellas, but....

I am therefore officially reiterating my call for a dead SEM stator with cable and I am ready to pay for shipping and even a symbolical amount.

I intend to reuse the dead cabling so I can adapt on the 1995 LC4 stator.

As some know, I am in between two jobs (translate: unemployed -- nice Christmas gift from my last employer) and cannot spend a fortune on my bike these days, but absolutely need to ride so as to keep sane.

Please PM me with an offer, that would be really really husa-nice!

I must have missed this post first time round.
How did it go for you Dave & Nick..

Something tells me they may still be working...
Update please !!

Regards
Ady

Coating the ign in vaseline must be the answer Taffy..By all indications on this site, yours should have failed by now. No more chissy cards from the folks at SEM for you :D

Glad to hear it Dave !

Thanks for the update.
I try to keep a keen eye on anything electrical.

Regards
Ady

we took a 2002 fe 501 on trade yesterday.starts only after more kicks than it should.some time 3 to 5 sometimes 15.going to see what spark looks like tomorrow and may put in a new stator.seems to run ok when it is running.will report back on it soon.

Dan, if you just clean the carb and adjust the valves, for a start?

I am interested to know as well.

Hello fellas

Long time no forum! Been too busy working I guess (enjoy your 'vacation' Le Frog.......I need one that's for sure!)

:D

The KTM stator is still going strong. When I put it in I smeared Vaseline on it. We shall see if I can beat Taffy's record huh? It's already been 6 months and many rides and it starts cold on the second kick and hot with one turn of the button!

I would Give you my stator if I hadn't thrown it away already. I guess I didn't realize anyone would want it......Sorry.

I'm looking forward to finally some dry weather out here in Washington state.

Finally I've gotten the bike all "tall" for my 6'4" frame and I'm ready to put a hurt on some CRFs next weekend!

Hey LeFrog, if your off work for much longer, come up to Washington and we'll do some woods riding!

Take care guys.

Hey thanks for the invite but I happen to have broken my arm... My avatar, that's me with a broken arm waiting for the sheriff's office to pick me up

Hello !!

I have a Husaberg FX650e ! And every year I must repair the electric (SEM AB) .... I am out of my mind.... I bought this bike for riding not for repairing !!!! A another thing is the electonic starter It cant start the engine if the engine is could.... ****!!!!!!! What do you say?

 What do you say?

i say this:

go into search and read, and read, and read until you fully understand the problem and you know the answer. if you're not sure we will help you.

regards

Taffy

You are not likely to ever cold start this bike with the e-start. The SEM and Dellorto equipped Berg usually don't. The 03s sometimes could, thanks to some better design.

If it starts cold with the kick, it's already a good thing. You need to learn the drill to make it easier. I used to swear like a trooper at this bike now I kick start it in one to five kicks cold, depending on how many days I rode it last. It's a question of technique.

Go to the downloads section and get the hard starting guide. Also do a search on the terms "hard start" and you should see a lot of threads on the topic.

What year is your FX650e?

Yes your are right!

Taffy I am sorry if I have hurt your mind , but I have visited your site yesterday for the first time. And It was my fault that I have wrote to the wrong topic the wrong thing. Its my first time on a forum :? After the writing i readded the other topics and It was very useful!

I am angry because I like Husaberg , but the electronic and the parts are very expensive ... For me as a Slovenian is 500 Euro not a pice of cake , thats a month of work.

My Fx 650e was made in 2002.
I had once a good experience , I was 30 km from the nearest town in the forest (heavy terrain) when the electronic died.

I walked al the way with the bike

And now I am afraid that this will happen again .

P.SA. The electric starter doesn't work even if the engine is hot. I wrote to Husaberg Sveden ( No answer ) ........
(Sorry for my bad english writing :p )

Nice Greetings

not a problem! i would imagine the ignition IS expensive. do keep an eye on e-bay and we even have a man in portugal who not only repairs them but he makes a better spark and i guess more power!!! again do a search for this. if there is one subject i HATE it's electrics!!!

your english is fine. i can understand you. no problems!

regards

Taffy
