My bike came with a SC seat on it, I believe standard height.
I'm thinking that I'd like a hole in my seat, and also that I'd like something a little better suited for hard use rather than touring. More height might be nice too.
I see that a new OEM seat is available fairly cheap - $132 is the cheapest I've found. Quite a bit less than I expected.
I've read that there are factory tall seats. I'm now at work and having trouble finding the part # (have it at home), but didn't have much luck finding one in the US - maybe they're available special order, or maybe I'd have to order it from the EU.
Would it be a mistake to buy one of the factory tall seats and then cut a hole in it? I do a few dirt roads here and there but 90% pavement.
