I've just bought a 2006 fs 650 got it home having a good check over and the seat won't lift the pull tab is sized any ideas how to get off

Use a large slotted screwdriver to unscrew the "DUZ" fastener (or possibly a 3/8" ratchet with a slotted screwdriver socket) to break it loose. A hand impact would work too. Go up the underside and spray some WD40 on the threads to help unseize it.
