Yep Im a plonker, it seems that when I put the seat back on my 09 570 I must have trapped the seat release pull under the seat, now I cannot get to it to release the seat.

Anyone got any idea how I might manage to free the seat, I cannot get to the toggle at all, its well and truly jammed under the seat

Thanks

Mmm thats a bummer. You could try a length of wire coat hanger, put a right angle on the end and slide it under the seat till it goes past the length of operating cable thats housed in a small spring. Catch the end of the spring and pull back towards you and at the same time push down on the end of the seat to take the pressure of the retaining plate.
Good luck.

Cheers NKW I shall try that one...need to find a pic of a 570 without the seat on so I can reference where Im guiding it to...One thing for sure theses seats are well & truly attached, It wont 'yank' off at all!

Been there done that.
Carefully pry up on the seat against the subframe with a suitable tool. you should be able to reach in with a hook or needle nose plyers and retrieve the loop.
Make sure it is then routed under the black brace.

Sorted it!...managed to grab the release band with a hooked bicycle tyre lever of all things...wont be doing that again though took me a long time to fanny about with it!
