I can only comment on 2000-2004, those seats were too hard for my fat ***. I always go with Guts Tall Soft Foam.

I weigh 200-ish and I feel like the stock seat is kinda hard after a few hours in the saddle. I'm gonna eventually go for a tall seat but really not sure which consistency to buy. I need to find someone who has a guts or other after market foam to feel it first hand. I would say the stock seat on my 2011 FE 570 is on the hard side and that's coming off an 01 YZ 426...and that is one hard seat on that bike. I think Louisville Slugger makes it.
